Job Description

The role of Data Governance Specialist is pivotal in helping Condé Nast develop its privacy programme maturity, efficiency and reporting on status. The successful candidate will leverage cross-domain expertise to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders on complex and sensitive data privacy initiatives.

The Role Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and subsequent iterations of a roadmap for effective data mapping and lineage capabilities
  • Develop and deliver data mapping, including generating and updating detailed documentation of first and third-party data use and flows across the data ecosystem
  • Support efforts in compliance with privacy requirements at Condé Nast, through contributing to data mapping workstreams and implementing applicable procedures
  • Provide oversight for processes and procedures related to data mapping changes and work with internal stakeholders and third-party service providers to ensure informational freshness
  • Support Legal and Data Protection colleagues in risk assessments, regularly reviewing records of processing activity and developing internal and external data audit functions
  • Deliver auditing and monitoring on data processing and transfer of our first and third-party engagement to verify analytics and consent configuration

Requirements

  • Good years of experience in EU data privacy, data governance, data management, advertising and media operations or related
  • Demonstrate an understanding of data privacy principles, practices and tools, with the ability to implement data mapping practices and standards effectively
  • Good knowledge of relevant data privacy laws and regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), with data privacy certification (e.g. CIPP/E)
  • Experience in working with media or advertising environment, coupled with understanding of data handling across relevant technology ecosystems
