Job Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team at a vibrant school in the North East of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students at various levels, focusing on developing their written and oral language skills.
  • Engage students with a range of texts, encouraging analytical and critical thinking, and promoting a love of literature and language.
  • Plan and execute lessons that effectively meet the learning objectives and needs of all students, and assess student progress to inform future teaching.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English, with experience in teaching English at secondary level.
  • Excellent command of the English language and a passion for literature, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures, with the ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
