About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our dynamic English and maths department at Gateshead College. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in nurturing young minds and inspiring them to grow and improve in their basic core skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students, focusing on English and maths skills.
  • Plan and deliver sessions covering key aspects of the qualification, preparing students for exams.
  • Work with a diverse range of learners from various curriculum backgrounds, liaising closely with colleagues to share best practice.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively across the curriculum area.
  • Collaborate with our curriculum teams to support the embedding of vocational English and maths in vocational lessons.
