Job Summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant in Neuro-rehabilitation to provide out-patient and ward referral services. The successful candidate will work jointly with partners in the community to provide high-quality care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Continuing responsibility for patient care and administrative duties.
  • Cooperation with Clinical Director and Care Group Management on organisational and budget issues.
  • Flexible commitments including administration, management, committee work, and relative interviews.
About the Role

The successful applicant will join a team of 12 Consultant Neurologists, 2 Consultant Neurophysiologists, and a Rehabilitation Consultant. Close links exist with the King's College Hospital Regional Neuroscience Centre at Denmark Hill in London.

Person Specification
  • Professional Qualifications and Full GMC Registration.
  • Desirable: Higher Degree (MD / PhD or equivalent) and Experience in delivering a Spasticity service.
  • Essential: Experience in inpatient and outpatient neurological clinical care and ability to converse at ease with customers.
  • Clinical governance: Participation in Audits, Morbidity & Mortality, Structured Judgement Reviews, and Learning from Incidents/Complaints.
  • Upholds and models the Trust Values.
Other Requirements
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to travel effectively between sites.
  • Aware of and adhere to the Trust Vision, Mission and Values.
