About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing, working closely with our pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Description

In this role, you will participate in the entire dispensing process, checking and preparing medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety. You will also establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals, providing courteous and effective customer service at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Checking and preparing medication orders
  • Ensuring accuracy and safety in handling and distributing pharmaceuticals
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals
  • Delivering courteous and effective customer service at all times
  • Completing and maintaining accurate administrative records
  • Managing the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment
  • Receiving, storing, and issuing medications and other supplies
  • Monitoring expiration dates and ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Providing healthcare advice and signposting customers to appropriate resources when necessary

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), hold an NVQ3 qualification, and have completed the additional accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services or an accredited equivalent qualification. Prior experience in a customer-focused environment is also required.
