About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Critical Care team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing excellent care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and their families in the Critical Care Unit.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Specialist team to contribute to activities and projects aimed at professional and practice development.
  • Develop and maintain a programme of supervised practice, critical care specific competencies, and development days for Band 3 staff.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Critical Care Unit, working flexibly according to the day-to-day needs of the unit.
Requirements
  • Completed Care Certificate or willingness to work towards.
  • Good standard in basic education qualifications.
  • Evidence of completed competencies, including a professional portfolio.
  • Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Desirable: Critical Care HCA Competency Programme, willingness to undertake further study/education/development, and evidence of further development.
