Job Overview
Morson Talent is recruiting for a skilled CNC machinist (milling & turning) for their client in Plymouth.

This is a 6-month contract position, with potential for extension, offering variable working patterns and a competitive salary.

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our team. As a key member of the production department, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC multi-axis turning centres, ensuring high-quality outputs while meeting strict tolerances.

The ideal candidate will have experience with one or more of the following CNC controls: Siemens and/or Mazak. You should also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
* Programming and operation of CNC multi-axis turning centres
* Maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Collaboration with engineers to optimize manufacturing processes

Requirements:
* Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
* Experience working within an engineering environment, preferably in a similar role
* Strong understanding of Health and Safety protocols and good working practices

What We Offer:
* Competitive salary (£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience)
* Variable working patterns, with pay enhancement for shift working (18% uplift applicable)

Working Conditions:
* Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (07:30 - 15:30), Friday (07:30 - 12:30) or Monday to Thursday (15:00 - 23:00), Friday (12:00 - 17:00)
* Overtime may be required to meet business needs
