Precision Turning and Milling Expert Job Description

**Job Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Precision Turning and Milling Expert to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC multi-axis turning centres, ensuring high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.

**Responsibilities:*** Program and operate CNC turning centres and milling machines to produce complex components and parts.* Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement new machining techniques and processes.* Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tooling, and quality control data.* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to prevent downtime and optimize performance.* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

**Requirements:*** Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.* NVQ Level 2 applications with relevant experience in the field may be considered.* Proven experience in CNC machining and programming, with knowledge of Siemens and Mazak controls.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Estimated Salary:** £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, based on experience*, with opportunities for career progression and professional development (*inclusive of shift allowances).

**Work Schedule:** 35 hours per week, with flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends.
