Care Home Chef

Chefs play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for residents. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Meadowhill Care Home in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £14.00-£17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing meals that cater to individual dietary needs, maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety, and collaborating with residents and staff to develop high-quality menus. They will also ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and within budget, working closely with the Home Manager and Catering and Hospitality Manager to meet the needs of our residents.
To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience as a Chef, preferably within a care home or similar environment. You will also have a strong understanding of IDDSI, special diets, and food safety standards. Excellent organisational and teamwork skills are essential, as is your passion for delivering high-quality food and enhancing the dining experience for residents.
