This opportunity will involve working as part of a Midlands Building Energy Performance team, delivering a wide-ranging and rapidly evolving service to public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to business development, ensuring an understanding of project briefs and developing scopes of service.
  • Be outward-facing, liaising with clients, professional organizations, contractors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to develop new and existing areas of business.
  • Operate the Quality Assurance system, quality control, and document management in line with current policy.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on capital and fee expenditure.
  • Lead complex and high-value projects from a Building Energy Performance perspective.
  • Carry out detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools.
  • Work in partnership with our Global Technology Centre to add value to building services projects.
  • Represent AtkinsRéalis at meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Site surveys, inspections, and monitor site works.
  • Adhere to quality, environmental, and governance processes.
  • Manage project delivery and understand budget costings.
  • Review progress, reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead.
  • Manage commercial aspects of appointments.
  • Hold sustainability, energy, and carbon qualifications/accreditations.
  • Have working knowledge of common forms of contract, such as NEC and JCT.
  • Awareness of key legislation, regulations, and industry standards relevant to Building Services.
  • Good computer literacy in digital tools.
  • Proficient in energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonizing new and existing buildings.
  • Knowledge of energy and carbon-related data capture and analytics.
  • Awareness of building physics principles, such as passive design solutions and fabric-first approaches.
  • Some awareness of designing for measurement and verification, including experience of commissioning and post-installation evaluation of performance.

We're looking for a commercially astute individual with good technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to integrate well into multidisciplinary teams. Experience in a core professional services discipline, such as architecture or Building Services engineering, is beneficial.

This role requires strong technical skills, an enquiring mind, and the potential to lead and manage large and diverse delivery teams. You'll work closely with our existing management function within the Midlands business structure.
