Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in local schools in St Albans and Dacorum. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with managing and supporting the behavior of pupils in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis
  • De-escalate behavioral concerns in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Take initiative in the classroom to support pupils and aid the class teacher
  • Be prepared to take over parts or all of a lesson at short notice if required
Requirements:
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to the role
  • Consistent and objective approach to pupils in and outside of the classroom
  • Passion for educating young people and instilling confidence in students' abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create nurturing relationships with students
  • Right to work in the UK and DBS on the update system or willing to purchase
