We are excited to offer an exciting opportunity for a Secondary English Teacher to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As an SEN English Specialist, you will be working with students with autism in a SEND school based in West Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves teaching English to secondary aged pupils with mixed abilities, including those working at GCSE level and Functional Skills. You will be responsible for leading English lessons, adapting your teaching methods to suit individual student needs, and promoting a positive approach to behaviour management.

The school has a strong emphasis on cross-curricular learning and topic-based activities, as well as ASDAN training. The SLT and staff pride themselves on providing an environment and curriculum where pupils will be happy.
