Simulation and Effects Software Lead

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the Dragonfire MDC programme, applying and augmenting toolsets and simulations for immediate and applied use.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Simulation and Effects Software Lead to join our team in Bristol. The successful candidate will lead the development of tools, simulations, or algorithms in MATLAB or similar toolsets, as well as deliver complex simulations written in Simulink or similar environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience in representing nuanced system behaviour, including embedded code, firmware, and processes within time-based simulation methods. They will also have a strong understanding of Object-Oriented MATLAB or similar toolset and the ability to simplify and codify complex system interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the development of tools, simulations, or algorithms in MATLAB or similar toolsets
- Deliver complex simulations written in Simulink or similar environments
- Represent nuanced system behaviour, including embedded code, firmware, and processes within time-based simulation methods
- Utilize Object-Oriented MATLAB or similar toolset
- Simplify and codify complex system interactions
We are looking for a talented individual with a proven track record in delivering complex simulations and leading teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a sound understanding of version control principles, and the ability to implement them.
They will also have the ability to manage and deliver a network of interconnected product releases, as well as a proven track record in delivering on time, cost, and quality. Additionally, they will have an appreciation of 'trading requirements' and the ability to manage budgets within a team environment.
Requirements- Experience in developing tools, simulations, or algorithms in MATLAB or similar toolsets
- Proven track record in delivering complex simulations written in Simulink or similar environments

- Bonus of up to 21% of base salary
- Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%
