Job Description: Effects Tools and Simulations Specialist

MBDA is seeking an experienced Effects Tools and Simulations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying and augmenting toolsets and simulations for immediate and applied use on the Dragonfire MDC programme.

About the Programme

The Dragonfire MDC programme is a cutting-edge initiative that requires innovative solutions and expertise in effects tools and simulations. As an Effects Tools and Simulations Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering results that meet the programme's objectives.

You will work closely with a small team to develop and enhance toolsets and simulations using your expertise in MATLAB or similar toolsets. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to a high-profile programme.


Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and Enhance Toolsets and Simulations: Utilize your expertise in MATLAB or similar toolsets to develop and enhance toolsets and simulations for immediate and applied use on the Dragonfire MDC programme.
  • Collaborate with Small Team: Work closely with a small team to achieve project objectives and deliver results on time, cost, and quality.
  • Deliver Results: Ensure timely delivery of results, maintaining the highest standards of quality and meeting the programme's objectives.

Requirements

To succeed as an Effects Tools and Simulations Specialist, you must have a proven track record in delivering complex simulations written in Simulink or similar environments. Additionally, you should have experience in representing nuanced system behavior within time-based simulation methods.

A strong understanding of Object-Oriented MATLAB or similar toolsets is also essential. Furthermore, you should be able to simplify and codify complex system interactions, demonstrate excellent leadership skills, and possess a sound understanding of version control principles.

This role requires a candidate to be DV cleared. Experience in Ansys Fluent, COMSOL, or similar Multiphysics tools would be advantageous, as would complex system design in a deeply technical environment.
