We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in St Helens. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a tailored curriculum that meets each student's individual needs, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN.
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
- Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment that encourages positive behaviour and academic progress.
- Work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, including teaching assistants, to provide comprehensive support to each pupil.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with experience in Special Educational Needs.
- Experience working in a PRU or with students with challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, resilient, and positive attitude.
