About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Science Academic Support professional to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Science Academic Support specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning across the curriculum, with a focus on science up to GCSE level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils' learning across the curriculum, tailoring support to match learners' individual needs in science.
  • Adapt and customize learning materials in line with the individual needs of pupils.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Learning Plans through identifying and removing barriers to pupils' learning.
  • Provide specific and targeted interventions to support individual pupil progress.
  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.

Requirements:

  • The ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils and the curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with pupils with varying needs and abilities.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE science specifications.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the development of Individual Learning Plans.
