We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement & Project Engineer to join our team at LyondellBasell. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for optimizing our operational processes, ensuring efficiency, and driving sustainable improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate existing process controls and ensure they are being fully adhered to and understood.
- Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards.
- Draft process ideas to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Train and mentor staff on Lean & CI tools and methodologies.
- Lead Kaizen events and engage with staff to embed CI & Lean into our culture.
- Source & order products, services, tooling & equipment to support the needs of production.
- Strong understanding of the Principles of Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes.
- Demonstratable problem-solving skills – driven to solve issues before they escalate and impact on customer.
- Using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable communicating with diverse groups of people.
- Lean or Continuous Improvement training or certification.
- Minimum of 4 years experience.
- Able to demonstrate examples of previous Lean implementation success.
- Six Sigma training.
- HNC/HND.
