A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Oxford.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to work on a £30 million new build project in the education sector. As a key member of the senior site team, you will report directly to a Commercial Manager and be responsible for managing commercial resources to maximise margin through subcontractor contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Controlling subcontract packages from enquiry through to final account.
- Packaging management and change control.
- Regularly reviewing contractual risks with the team and implementing strategies to mitigate risk.
- Assessing variations and valuations of subcontractor accounts.
- Authorising placement of contracts, materials and plant orders.
- Maximising cash flow through supply chain control, measurement, negotiation, invoicing and payment.
To be successful in this role, you will need 5 years' plus experience as a Quantity Surveyor for a Principal Contractor. A minimum HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is desirable. Strong IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages and excellent organisational skills are essential.
