About the Job:

We are seeking a talented Software Expert for Photonics Research to join our team at Nu Quantum Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing software tools for our scientists and engineers, automating experiments, and controlling equipment in our quantum optics laboratory.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, testable, and maintainable code
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists to solve complex problems
  • Maintain software control PCs and tools, keeping them up-to-date and working

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with developing software using Python
  • Experience with writing software to control laboratory equipment
  • Interest in quantum computing
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Estimated Salary: £42,000 - £62,000 per annum
