About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of the Hertfordshire and West Essex Health and Care Partnerships (HCPs) to take on delegated functions from the ICB.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of place-based financial planning, including the development of long-term financial plans and annual operational plans for each place.
  • Engage with and support place-based teams to have a greater understanding of the financial context, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of a collaborative and effective approach to service transformation and pathway redesign, using Population Health Management information to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
  • Work in a matrix management style, fostering close working relations with ICB place-based teams to further develop their commissioning functions.
  • Provide professional business advice and support to each of the three HCPs, ensuring clear understanding of the financial position and delivery of financial targets.
Requirements:
  • Strong financial planning and management skills, with experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of Population Health Management and its application in healthcare.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
