Job Title: Finance Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a Finance Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department in providing high-quality financial services to our patients and stakeholders.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced finance colleagues, develop their skills and knowledge in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and gain a Level 3 AAT qualification through our apprenticeship scheme.

You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial reports, analyzing data, and providing insights to support business decisions. You will also have the opportunity to work on various computer applications, including Excel, Oracle, and Qlikview.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including management accounts and financial statements
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to support business decisions
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
  • Provide support to the finance team in the preparation of budgets and financial plans
  • Assist in the implementation of financial systems and processes
Requirements
  • At least 5 A*-C grade GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent
  • Comfortable with numbers and able to complete complex calculations
  • Experience of working in a financial environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail
