We are looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a child with Autism in our Year 5 class.

This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent, starting in January.

About the Child:

The child we are looking to support has Autism and requires individualised support to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.

Your Role:

You will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to the child, creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to the child with Autism, including helping them access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.">
  • Monitor and record progress, providing consistent support and encouragement.">
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop strategies to support the child's needs.">

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children who have Autism.">
  • A patient and compassionate approach to supporting children with special educational needs.">

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
