Production Process Manager

Job Summary:
The Production Process Lead will be responsible for leading and directing a team in the safe execution of the daily production plan and associated support activities. This role requires a strong leader who can build high-performance teams and inspire performance from all members of the process team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible and accountable for team's performance in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
- Ensure team's full compliance and efforts in support of Vestas safety and quality standards.
- Translate goals set by leadership into tasks and drive completion of daily production schedule.
- Coordinate the allocation of employees, materials, and equipment to optimize output.
- Support Supervisor and other members of Management with company communication.
- Coach Vestas Team Members and temporary employees for continuous improvement on expectations and performance.
- Ensure team's compliance of established safety rules, policies, and practices.
- Conduct daily/monthly safety inspections and correct hazards identified.
- Alert appropriate support function when encountering the need to execute non-standard processes.
- Assist Production Supervisor in investigating incidents and near misses.
Quality Responsibilities:
- Ensure process area teams adherence to all quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct or team conducts all quality walks and inspections as prescribed by the control plan.
- Lead and/or participate in all defect/NC root cause/corrective action exercises.
- Ensure accuracy of all build documentation.
Training Responsibilities:
- Conduct or coordinate the on-process training of all new team members.
- Track, report, and make recommendations to supervision regarding team members' training progress.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Provide feedback and input to Team Members performance evaluations.
- Monitor and review process areas performance with regards to process deviations.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards through 5S concepts and practices.
- Ensure Manufacturing Order accuracy in material and labor consumption.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Candidate should be performing at or above expectations according to CPD performance and behavior feedback.
- Able to read and interpret documents, generate routine reports/correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
