Electrical Actuators Product Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Actuators Product Design Engineer to join our team at Ideal Personnel & Recruitment Solutions Limited.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new and special electric actuators, as well as providing technical support to customers, European subsidiaries, the Japanese Technical Centre, and company headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new and special electric actuators
  • Provide technical support to customers, European subsidiaries, the Japanese Technical Centre, and company headquarters
  • Investigate product claims, product testing, and produce technical documentation
  • Identify, develop, and deliver training
  • Conduct research within the market, including trends and competitor activities
  • Support new products in the European market and special electric actuators designs
Requirements
  • Degree or HND qualification in Electronics, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applications
  • General electrical engineering knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable
  • Over 3 years work experience in SolidWorks designing mechanical components or assemblies for industrial machinery
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems and test equipment
  • Experience in planning and managing projects
  • Technical product support experience
  • Experience of delivering technical training
  • European or Japanese language skills
