About the Role:
Menzies LLP is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our growing audit department in Leatherhead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of financial statements, and contributing to client meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including overseeing the preparation of financial statements under FRS102 and IFRS.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings, ensuring effective communication and relationship-building.
- Complete audits with minimal supervision and within deadlines, maintaining high-quality work and technical standards.
- Develop and manage upcoming audit talent, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
- Manage financial aspects of the portfolio, including WIP, billing, and debt management.
- Contribute to business development, maintaining key contacts and fostering new relationships to drive growth and revenue.
- Maintain a strong understanding of accounting and auditing standards, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years' experience in an accountancy practice, with a strong background in auditing and financial services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Technical expertise in accounting and auditing standards, with experience in leading group audits and preparing consolidated accounts.
- Previous experience with CaseWare or Mercia methodologies is desirable.
