We are seeking a skilled Housing Coordinator to work closely with a Local Authority in Enfield. The successful candidate will assist with the appointment of a Housing Coordinator on a 3-month contract, which is highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

* Effectively work with prevention tools to prevent homelessness or facilitate a move into suitable affordable accommodation.
* Accurately and robustly process housing and homelessness approaches within agreed timescales, adhering to relevant policies, procedures, legislation, case law, and guidance.
* Arrange and undertake home visits to confirm homelessness, inspect housing standards/conditions, or verify a household's circumstances.
* Liaise with the Market Management Team to secure accommodation where a housing duty is owed.
* Competently interpret and explain complex legal matters to tenants, landlords, and other interested parties.

Requirements:

* Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
* Experience of effectively preventing homelessness.
* Experience of carrying out robust enquiries and competently deciding homelessness applications in accordance with Part VII Housing Act 1996 as amended.
