We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. - Competitive Hourly Rate: £12.60 - £13.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Flexible Working Hours: 24 or 36 hours a week
- Shift Patterns: DAY shifts from 8am - 8pm, Monday - Sunday, with alternate weekends
About the Job:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will work alongside and mentor a team of Care Assistants to ensure outstanding care is delivered at all times. You will report to the Home Manager and work directly with the ancillary teams and other Senior Care Assistants within the home.
You will engage in meaningful activities with the people living in our care home, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect. Your involvement in creating person-centred care plans and risk assessments will be key to the successful delivery of outstanding care, with regular updates and reviews required.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ
- Background: Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- Dementia Care: Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable
- Medication Administration: Previous experience prompting or administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable, with full training and support provided
- Personality: You will be an enthusiastic, inspiring, and caring individual, passionate about delivering high-quality care
