Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx - Education Recruitment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide support to students in a variety of settings, including 1:1, group, and whole class situations. They will work closely with teachers to develop resources, schemes of work, and teaching strategies that cater to the needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized learning plans
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Lead small group sessions and interventions as needed
  • Attend to students' personal needs, including social, health, and welfare matters
  • Support with behavior management and classroom organization

Requirements

  • Qualifications to degree level or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of SEND and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues in a school environment
