Job Title: Registered General Nurse

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered General Nurse to join our team as a Senior Staff Nurse on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU).

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse who can provide high-quality care to patients on the AMU. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe and effective care, coordinating the unit's activities, and supervising junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high standards of quality care to patients on the AMU
  • Coordinate the unit's activities, including effective communication with medical teams and other healthcare professionals
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure they receive the necessary support and guidance
  • Take regular charge of the unit and act up in the absence of the deputy ward manager and ward manager
  • Work collaboratively with the emergency department and site coordination team to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a Registered General Nurse in an acute medical setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a 12-hour shift pattern, including days and nights
