Job Title: Employment Coach - Support for Adults with Learning Disabilities

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Coach to join our Work Opportunities division. The successful candidate will provide specialist training and support to adults with learning disabilities to help them achieve and sustain paid employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized training plans to meet the needs of each client
  • Provide coaching and guidance to clients to enhance their employability skills
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Travel to various sites in the region to support clients
  • Occasionally work evenings and weekends to meet client needs

Person Specification:

  • English and Maths at GCSE level 5 or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of learning disabilities
  • Ability to approach training tasks from a variety of ways to meet client needs
  • Ability to travel to and from work placements
  • Confidence to cope with difficult situations in the workplace
  • Ability to manage time for efficient delivery of job coaching services
  • Ability to participate in ongoing self-assessment to evaluate training needs
  • Ability to work within the aims, objectives, policies, and practice of Hft
  • Flexible approach to work, including evenings and weekends
  • Good administration and computer skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • One-to-one training/coaching skills
  • Full Driving Licence with access to a vehicle with business insurance
