Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Design Engineer to join our team at Searchability NS&D. As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing designs for the Facility Design Authority to ensure that utilities, infrastructure, engineering processes, equipment, and facilities adhere to all relevant legislation, standards, and requirements across the entire facility lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering designs that meet safety and performance requirements.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislative documentation / standards.
- Applying knowledge to confirm designs are prepared which comply with relevant legislation, standards and requirements.
- Using CAD software package (Autodesk Inventor) to generate and modify construction drawings, renderings, report graphics, interior drawings and other digital images.
- Developing, organising and preparing a variety of layouts, drawings and designs from written or verbal specifications, from rough or detailed sketches, or converting paper documents into computerised files.
- Producing various design options, following technical professionals' verbal instructions or ideas to assist in resolving a design concept not yet completely defined.
- Self-checking models and drawings to verify completeness, clarity and accuracy of outputs.
- Maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.
Requirements
To be successful as a CAD Design Engineer, you will need:
- Experience of delivering 3D and 2D CAD outputs on large engineering projects.
- Producing designs as part of a multi-discipline design team.
- Able to work on a nuclear licensed site.
