About Our Client:

Autograph Recruitment is proud to partner with this expert manufacturer based in Coleford.

The Opportunity:

This is a pivotal role in the efficient and timely running of the Machine Shop operation. Reporting to the Head of UK Manufacturing, the successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and planning production orders to meet customer delivery requirements and ensuring cost-effective planning processes and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan production orders to meet customer delivery requirements
  2. Release production orders and book in when complete
  3. Issue plans to the shop floor to show forward load and required dates
  4. Plan maintenance activities
  5. Facilitate make or sub-contract discussions and manage sub-contract order placement
  6. Report KPI performance metrics monthly
  7. Communicate accurate planning information to internal customers and take necessary actions to achieve the agreed plan
  8. Assist with identifying and justifying improvement projects

Requirements:

  1. An engineering background in manufacturing, including CNC machining
  2. Experience reviewing KPIs
  3. Experience raising purchase requisitions
  4. Knowledge of MRP/ERP
  5. Demonstrated perfect organization skills, working to deadlines efficiently with high attention to detail
  6. Ability to work in a busy environment at a consistent pace and manage timely tasks under pressure
