Quarry Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quarry Manager to join our team at E3 Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our quarry site, ensuring that production levels are maintained safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of third-party contractors, company operatives, and road hauliers to ensure timely and safe delivery of materials to internal and external customers.
  • Develop and implement effective budget management and cost control strategies to optimize quarry operations.
  • Oversee the management of quality assurance and environmental systems, including water discharge best practices.
  • Collect and analyze extraction and geological data to inform business decisions and drive key targets and objectives.
  • Project manage defined capital expenditure projects to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Promote a culture of high health and safety standards, actively participating in quarry health, safety, and environmental audits.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Hold a recognized qualification in geological or quarry management.
  • Have experience of being appointed under Regulation c) of the Quarry Regulations.
  • Hold EHS/HSE Level 4 certification (training provided to reach Level 6).
  • Demonstrate proven quarry supervisory experience.
