Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Validation Engineer to join our Aviation Power business in an exciting new program. As a key member of our Systems and Software team, you will lead the Systems Verification Engineering team responsible for testing and troubleshooting an entirely new business jet electrical power distribution system within our Electrical Power Integration Centre (EPIC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Systems Verification Engineering team to ensure high-quality requirements and design solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering functions to solve technical problems and ensure effective management of changes coming from the customer.
  • Develop and maintain a Lab environment suitable for troubleshooting and testing a business jet electrical power distribution system.
  • Use Systems Engineering knowledge to help debug software via systems test results analysis, design in modifications into the systems lab environment, and perform hands-on testing.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an aviation, automotive, or similar embedded systems development environment, demonstrating understanding of working to rigorous industry-mandated development standards.
  • An appropriate degree or HND in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics, or similar subject, or equivalent experience, showing a logical mindset and good problem-solving and solution-building skills.
  • Experience of the systems design lifecycle, including capturing, understanding, and documenting customer system and testing requirements.
  • Good appreciation of baseline management and knowledge of different verification strategies and test equipment.
