East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Microbiology to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide a proactive, dynamic, and consultative link between clinicians, patients, and the laboratory service.

Main duties of the job:

  • The Consultant Microbiologists will provide a comprehensive Microbiology service to our resident population of approximately 500,000 residing mainly in East and North Hertfordshire and extending to the borders of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, West Hertfordshire, and Essex.
  • They will work in a large district general hospital covering the full range of acute services, with a team of 4 Consultants.
  • The post consists of 11 programmed activities (PAs), but part-time and job-share applicants are welcome to apply.
