About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our team as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse on Sarum Ward. As a key member of the ward management team, you will be responsible for coordinating the smooth running of the ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people (CYP) in accordance with local and national policies and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Ward Lead in their absence, taking charge of the ward and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Coordinate the delivery of high-quality care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, give, and supervise safe and compassionate care.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.

Requirements
  • Registered Paediatric Nurse with a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Nursing or equivalent level of knowledge.
  • NMC approved assessor or supervisor.
  • Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development related to specialty.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, with the possibility of part-time working arrangements. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
