Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telecoms engineer to join our team at Undisclosed. The successful candidate will have expertise in the design and implementation of VoIP networks and a strong understanding of legacy PBX platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new VoIP systems and upgrades to current TDM & IP infrastructure to deliver new service capabilities.
  • Maintain and administer legacy PBX platforms to ensure seamless operation.
  • Ensure new services and systems meet UK security requirements.
  • Manage obsolescence within existing TDM systems to ensure continued supportability and compliance with security requirements.
  • Install and configure new system elements, including testing and commissioning of new equipment and services.
  • Provide third-line support to operations teams.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of TDM & VoIP network architectures.
  • Working knowledge of multiple voice routing media, including ISDN & SIP.
  • Experience in designing and delivering VoIP communication networks.
  • Experience with hosted voice platforms.
  • Background in a telecoms or satellite communication company.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Good understanding of telephony billing and reporting platforms and software.
  • Experience with MILSATCOM domain.
  • Unified Communications, Contact Centre technology, and IVR structure and design.
  • Experience in designing military communication systems.
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies.

Education and Qualifications

  • Certification or accreditation in multiple vendor PBX and VoIP systems.
  • Cisco accreditation, such as CCNA or CCNP.

Location and Duration

The role is based in Bristol with occasional travel to Guildford. The contract duration is 5 months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay rate for this position is £70-£75 per hour via Umbrella, and active security clearance is required (SC Cleared).
