About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Trade Operative to join our Operations Response team based in Salisbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs to occupied properties, including fixing leaking taps, changing baths, and hanging doors. You will also be required to carry out external repairs, such as fencing and groundworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attending occupied properties to carry out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties within social housing
  • Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
  • Providing out of hours cover via a call out rota

Requirements

  • Qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (Plastering, Carpentry). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS)
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within social housing is advantageous
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Additional skills in some of the following disciplines - plumbing, carpentry, and plastering would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of the health and safety regulations
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
