About the Company: Tate Recruitment is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a prestigious manufacturing organization. This role will involve considerable responsibility and influence within the business, with a focus on ensuring compliance with Health and Safety guidelines.
About the Role: The main responsibility for this position will be managing the Health and Safety for the company, leading on all Health and Safety matters, and ensuring that all compliance is followed in line with Health and Safety regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for reducing the risk of accidents and on-site injuries in the workplace by identifying hazards and putting solutions in place to protect employees and visitors to the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management Standard
- Conduct regular internal audits and workplace inspections
- Ensure compliance with COSHH Regulations and conduct COSHH assessments
- Develop and implement risk assessments
- Conduct regular internal audits
- Proactively identify hazards in the workplace and implement solutions to minimize the risk of accidents
- Ensure compliance with RIDDOR
- Chair the H&S Committee and facilitate regular meetings
- Implement employee-based training to reduce the risk of accidents and illnesses on site
- Verify that permits are documented correctly
- Support shifts and conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance across all shifts
Requirements: Previous experience in managing Health and Safety in a manufacturing or distribution company. Understanding and experience of ISO 45001. Ideally, be NEBOSH diploma qualified. Strong communication skills, able to influence and delegate. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
