Job Title: Occupational Therapist

At Tripod Partners, we are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Peterborough. As a key member of our integrated multi-professional team, you will work across Pathway 1 (care at home) and Pathway 2 (Health Interim beds and Inpatient Rehabilitation units) for the Intermediate Care service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for patients on shared caseloads in community and/or inpatient settings.
  • Undertake assessments of patients with complex and multiple pathologies, using specialist clinical reasoning skills.
  • Identify patient needs, agree goals, and provide appropriate therapy interventions, equipment, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Take a holistic approach to therapeutic interventions, working across professional boundaries.
  • Keep patients at the centre of care, ensuring patient and carer participation in decision-making.
  • Provide support and education to peers, junior staff, non-registered staff, and students.
  • Supervise and support education of junior staff and students, overseeing patient intervention and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Accountability for delegated tasks and activities undertaken by Band 5 Therapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, and Integrated Care Workers.
