Job Title: Skilled Construction Operative

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled construction operative to join our team at Hunter Mason Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing waterproofing systems, damp proofing systems, and timber treatments on various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and manage materials and tools required for projects
  2. Ensure punctuality to site and effective time management during the day
  3. Install and apply waterproofing systems, damp proofing systems, and timber treatments
  4. Conduct quality control of works
  5. Ensure health and safety compliance
  6. Report progress via App and communicate with the operative team and contracts department
  7. Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards clients and colleagues
  8. Show initiative and problem-solving skills on site
  9. Pay attention to detail, tenacity, and pride in work
  10. Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
  1. Current CSCS card
  2. PASMA an advantage
  3. First Aid an advantage
  4. Asbestos awareness an advantage
  5. Full UK Driving Licence
Essential Criteria:
  1. Current CSCS Card
  2. Previous construction and site experience
  3. Full UK Driving Licence
  4. Living within an accessible distance of Henley-on-Thames
Experience:
  1. Previous construction and site experience
  2. Understanding of construction sequencing
  3. Experience of renovation projects an advantage
  4. Basic carpentry an advantage
  5. Basic plumbing an advantage
  6. Basic electrical an advantage
  7. Good Health & Safety awareness
Physical Requirements:

The role requires good general physical health, including the ability to load / unload materials manually. The candidate should occasionally be prepared to carry out preparations work including hacking off plaster, breaking up concrete and digging sump chambers, channels when required and on certain projects. It is essential that the candidate understand that this role requires travelling to site. This often involves an early start in the office and travel into London. The majority of our work is from the Cotswolds to London but there are very occasional projects further afield when we provide stay-away accommodation.
