About the Role
The Site Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of all activities on the assigned construction site, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and meeting contractual requirements. This role will require maintaining the highest standard of quality, ensuring an incident-free construction site, and adhering to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plans and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site activities to achieve contractual targets, ensuring all personnel are well-informed about the Scope of Work (SoW) and Division of Work (DoW).
- Oversee Change Management on site, including variation orders to subcontractors.
- Ensure all tests are performed and accepted by the customer according to contractual conditions.
- Foster a culture of proper understanding and adherence to HSE requirements among site personnel.
- Maintain a good relationship with local authorities and organizations, ensuring all permits, licenses, and requirements are in place for compliant execution.
- Guarantee that all activities are performed within defined contractual schedules and milestones, maintaining reliable cost forecasts and estimates.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met to the satisfaction of customers.
Requirements
- Experience as a Site Manager on industrial construction projects with significant complexity and responsibility.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with HVDC Converter Stations is a plus.
- Understanding of Terms and Conditions typical used on Construction type Contracts.
- Willingness to relocate for the duration of the project.
- Experience in Civil Works, Installation, and/or Commissioning activities.
- Recognized HSE certifications and training, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Driven, structured, able to work and lead teams, goal-oriented, eager to learn from experiences and adapt as may be required.
