About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Hitachi Energy UK Limited. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution of all activities on the assigned construction site, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site activities to achieve contractual targets, ensuring all personnel are well-informed about the Scope of Work and Division of Work.
  • Manage Change Management on site, including variation orders to subcontractors.
  • Ensure all tests are performed and accepted by the customer according to contractual conditions.
  • Maintain a good relationship with local authorities and organizations, ensuring all permits, licenses, and requirements are in place for a compliant execution of site activities.
  • Guarantee that all activities are performed within defined contractual schedules and milestones, understanding the project budget and ensuring costs are maintained within budget.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met and to the satisfaction of our customers.

Requirements

  • Experience as Site Manager on industrial construction projects with a significant level of complexity and responsibility.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with HVDC Converter Stations is a plus.
  • Understanding of Terms and Conditions typical used on Construction type Contracts.
  • Willingness to relocate for the duration of the project wherever the construction site is located.
  • Experience in Civil Works, Installation and/or Commissioning activities.
  • Recognized Health, Environment and Safety certifications and training. IOSH or NEBOSH preferred.
  • Driven, structured, able to work and lead teams, goal-oriented, eager to learn from experiences and adapt as may be required, able to easily gain and maintain trust and respect from employees.
