SENCO / Special Educational Needs Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SENCO to join our dedicated team at a warm and inclusive primary school in SN15. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and coordinating SEN provision across the school to ensure the best outcomes for children with special educational needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the well-being and progress of students.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and monitoring the progress of SEN students.
  • Providing guidance and support to staff on SEN-related issues.
  • Ensuring the safeguarding and well-being of all students.

About You:

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Experienced SENCO or practitioner passionate about making a difference in the lives of SEN students.
  • Excellent communicator, organized, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Empathetic and positive, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Flexible and team-oriented, with a great sense of humor.
