Job Description:

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Viral Vector Manufacturing Specialist to support the development and implementation of novel intermediate scale lentiviral manufacturing techniques in suspension cell bioreactors. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building and qualifying a GMP process from the ground up.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge lentiviral production techniques using state-of-the-art production equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new downstream purification and packaging systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute analytical assays for viral vectors, including flow cytometry, sterility testing, and qPCR.
  • Analyse and interpret complex batch data to contribute to process optimisation.
  • Maintain lab equipment and contribute to a compliant and efficient lab environment.

Requirements:

  • Research experience in viral vectors.
  • Cell culture experience.
  • Analytical assays experience.
