Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team at Telespazio VEGA Deutschland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the storage, picking, and distribution of finished goods, ensuring timely delivery and meeting budget targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the despatch and warehouse operation to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse and implement improvements to KPI metrics, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage time and resources across production facilities, ensuring seamless performance and minimal disruptions.
  • Ensure stock accuracy and reconciliation for on and off-site locations, maintaining high levels of inventory management.
  • Coordinate transport and cold storage providers to meet business needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Liaise with Planning teams to manage requirements, including labour, equipment, and freeze capacity, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, handling day-to-day escalations, longer-term demand forecasting, and performance monitoring.
  • Order, schedule, and conduct stock takes of returnable equipment, considering peak season and freezer program requirements.
  • Investigate delivery discrepancies and develop debit note reduction plans to minimize losses.
  • Control budgeted spend and deviation forecasts, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Manage overtime and develop reduction plans to minimize unnecessary expenses.
  • Motivate and train the workforce, identifying talent to develop and promote within the team.
  • Promote Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Health and Safety across the site, ensuring integrity and food safety standards are met.
  • Maintain full traceability of finished goods and ensure the site is always audit-ready.
  • Deputise for the Supply Chain Manager during periods of absence and annual leave, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in logistics management, supply chain, warehouse, and transport.
  • FMCG background with a focus on budget control and cost reduction plans.
