Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Neonatal Nurse to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. As a Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to newborns and their families in our 24-cot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a defined group of patients under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in developing and maintaining a system of family-centered care.
  • Advise on the promotion of health, recognizing the physical, emotional, and social situations that may influence the needs of the mother, baby, and family.
  • Take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the babies and their families.
  • Carry out the administration of drugs according to Wirral University Teaching Hospital Trust Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in Clinical Supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with all staff in matters affecting patient care.
  • Provide accurate verbal or written information relating to patient care to other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements
