About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of healthcare professionals working in clinical imaging services. As a Clinical Imaging Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting patients and relatives attending imaging examinations.

  • You will work closely with radiographers, consultant radiologists, and surgeons to provide high-quality care and support to patients.
  • Assist with reception duties, including meeting and greeting patients, checking patient personal data, and scheduling appointments if necessary.
  • Conduct consent and screening safety checks with patients prior to examination to ensure their suitability for imaging examinations or procedures.
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for preparing clinical areas under the supervision of the radiographer in charge and managing busy patient lists to ensure efficient patient workflow through the unit.

  • Support the radiographers with the positioning of patients on scanners and set up of equipment under the supervision of radiographers.
  • Provide reassurance, emotional, and physical support to patients throughout their attendance to the unit.

Salary: £21,735 - £22,218 per annum based on 34.5 hours per week.
