Role Overview:

The Briggs Equipment Group is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Forklift Engineer. This 4-year apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity to become a fully qualified Forklift Truck & Powered Access Engineer.

Salary and Benefits:

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be considered for a permanent contract with a starting salary of approximately £20,000, progressing to £25,000 in the final year.

The company offers a contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday + bank holiday, and access to a paycare medical scheme & Eye care vouchers upon successful completion of probation period.

Job Description:

As a Forklift Engineer, you will work on customer premises and at Briggs Equipment Group workshop locations within your specified region. You will gain on-the-job experience, completing tasks under supervision and working alongside qualified Engineers where your work will be checked and signed off.

Requirements:

  1. Able to complete tasks independently, managing and prioritising own workload, work to deadlines under pressure.
  2. Understanding of the principles of good customer service.
  3. Comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather conditions and completing manual labour and administrative tasks.
  4. Prior work or voluntary work experience - Desirable.
