Priory Adult Care is the UK's leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

We offer a range of community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, to support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge.

We also provide residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide support with day-to-day activities, encouraging and promoting independent living.

You will work closely with our team to help individuals reach their potential, providing both practical and emotional support to make a positive difference to their lives.

Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
  • Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
  • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities

  • The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
  • Competent in verbal and written English
